We are taking an episode break to commemorate with young people across the globe on this year's international youth day. 

The theme of International Youth Day 2020, is “Youth Engagement for Global Action” and according to the united nations, this theme seeks to highlight the ways in which to engage of young people at the local, national and global levels in enriching national and multilateral institutions and processes, as well as draw lessons on how their representation and engagement in formal institutional politics can be significantly enhanced.

As the United Nations turns 75, and with only 10 years remaining to make the 2030 Agenda a reality for all, issues such as eroding trust in public institutions,  crisis of legitimacy and relevance for international government in the face of pressing challenges and threats such as conflicts and humanitarian emergencies, and other catastrophic global challenges, such as the COVID-19 outbreak and rising unemployment, there is the need for inclusiveness. There is a need for an urgent and Deliberate actions aimed at engaging young people in designing solutions to community, national and global challenges and concerns.

You have decided to go nonprofit and you are already institutionalising your efforts, now you need to put in place a system that could hold whatever you are going to build.

Potential allies will have to be sure that you have a system in place before they could trust you with partnerships, or funding. There is a level of commitment that's only possible when you have the right systems in place. This simply means that you might not be able to grow beyond the strength of whatever kind of system you have in place.

The nonprofit landscape is not meant for everyone. It will be too slow for some and too fast for some. Many even considers it as an arena for poor people and not high fliers while some others sees it as a get rich quick place. There are so many myths that needs to be busted and so many truths to be unravelled. Some of your ideas and interventions in your community will achieve scale and rapid growth if it's institutionalised. At this time, it's no longer you solving problems alone, there is a system and it has grown beyond you as an individual. Many people will for this singular reason want to also support.

This first edition is going to provide a general overview on what will be the goal of the series of podcasts that will be shared in the next few months. It is a series that will run up to 10 episodes and it will focus on so many areas such as how to start a non-profit; understanding the SDGs; Managing a non-profit etc
