Devils Daily

Another busy show today, as we have on Ian Colpitts of the Mississauga news to discuss Nathan Bastian and Michael McLeod after the two enjoyed productive seasons and a deep playoff run.

Then, we'll head on to discuss the possibility of the Devils throwing money at Kevin Shattenkirk in free agency. Would he be worth it?

Though the Devils have done well to raise the quality of their organizational depth within the last few years, there's a long way to go. We'll discuss what the organization still needs, both at the NHL level and through the draft as they continue on through the rebuild.

Then, we'll discuss the ELC for 6th round pick Jesper Bratt and his long-term outlook for the team.

On Wednesday's show, we'll dive in to some of the clarification on the ongoing Ilya Kovalchuk saga and what it means for the team moving forward.

Then, we'll hand out grades for Coach Hynes and discuss his impact after two seasons on the job.

In addition, there are plenty of emails and voicemails to get to.

We move on through more grades, this time taking a look at forwards Joseph Blandisi and Jacob Josefson. Blandisi did impress when he was called up from Albany last season, but he'll face strong competition to make the team again this year. Josefson continues to be a wizard in the shootout, but will he be able to stick for another year?

Today we hand out season grades for both Blake Coleman and Nick Lappin. Both players had some strong moments in New Jersey and will be vying for a spot on the roster next season.

Then we'll head on to some voicemails, some audio from Ray Shero and your calls/tweets/emails.

We roll on with our report cards to Mike Cammalleri and Cory Schneider. We'll take a look at the polls for both and discuss their seasons and what you thought as well.

Then we'll hit on a bit of the NHL playoffs as well as the Albany Devils, who lost a heartbreaker in overtime last night in Toronto and the Mississauga Steelheads who swept their way to an OHL final.
