The Padres were swept in a short two game series by the Angels. While the Padres will still be the four seed going into the NL playoffs, the Padres offense is struggling at the wrong time. With the final series of the year this weekend, the Padres should use this as a tune up series before the playoffs. 

Bobby and Dominic were joined by Sean Lyon of Fox Sports San Diego to break it all down, look at the possible Padres playoffs opponents, and look at the series against the Giants. 

For the first time since 2006, the Padres will be playing in the postseason. Dominic and Bobby gave their story, then broke down the series against the Mariners, then looked ahead to the two-game series with the Angels. 

Following the series loss to the Dodgers, the Padres now find themselves 3.5 GB of the division, and likely lost the chance to win the NL West. The Padres sit at 32-19 and will look to get back on track for a “road” series in San Diego.

The San Francisco Giants had won 15 of 20 coming into Petco Park for the weekend. The buzzsaw that is the San Diego Padres swept them, making that 7 straight wins.
