Advent is the arrival of the presence of God Himself. Advent is a way to experience the joy of the first arrival of Jesus, but also anticipate the His second arrival. Jesus is coming back! Leading up to Christmas we will take a passage from John 1 each week focusing on hope, peace, joy, and love.

After 15 chapters of the most glorious Doctrine, Paul drops these names at the end. Why? Romans 16 is a picture of real faith in action. If you believe Romans 1-15, you will live like Romans 16. Paul has spent 16 chapters showing us that the gospel is what you need to live an empowered life of passion and purpose. Life motto as believers in this Family of Faith...Know God and Make Him Known!

We are coming to the end of the book of Romans. Paul has been walking us through and teaching us a lot about the Christian life. The first 11 chapters are all about what God has done in providing us salvation. The last 5 chapters are all about our response to salvation. In our passaget today, Paul is going to show us how the gospel shapes his passion and purpose. We are going to see the heart of one of the greatest missionaries ever. May this passage stir us up to answer the call to be Great Commission People. People who take Jesus’ last command as their first priority. To make disciples of all nations around the block and around the world...until the Whole World Hears!

Romans 15:13, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope"

In Romans 14, Paul is teaching us essential points to non-essentials issues. Not everyone will feel convicted about the same things we do. Not only is that OK…that’s the way it should be. Augustine, “In essentials, unity…in non-essentials, liberty…in all things, charity."

Romans 13:14, "Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law"
