  • Where is Jesus?
    King Jesus suffered, died, was buried, and on the third day rose from the dead and left the grave. He appeared to hundreds over 40 days at different times and in other places. Then after 40 days, he ascended into heaven and was received by the Father so that all who are united by faith in him will be received by the Father into heaven one day. The ascension of Jesus is an important doctrine, and it gives us hope and reminds us of who Jesus is and what he has done.

  • Doubting Thomas
    As we share the gospel, we must be both prepared to give an answer for the hope that resides in us and have mercy on those who doubt. We didn't reason ourselves into the kingdom. We were born of the Spirit, so we must pray for the Spirit to cause those with whom we share to be born again from above.

  • The Crucifixion and Death of Jesus Christ
    Good Friday. What is it that makes this day good? This particular Friday is the day Jesus Christ, a carpenter and itinerant preacher is condemned to the most excruciating and embarrassing form of death. He is sentenced to a criminal's cross to die.   • Before the Rooster Crows
    Early Friday morning, Jesus is facing a trial that will condemn him to death. Most of his disciples have scattered, but a couple of his companions follow to see what their teacher will become. Peter is nearby and is recognized by several in the crowd as an associate of the Nazarene Jesus. Peter adamantly denies it, just as Jesus said would happen before day breaks.
