In Psalm 34, David tells us to taste and see that the Lord is good. We are reminded how one should use their tongue and life for righteousness. Most poignantly, we see that the Lord protects and loves his redeemed. No one who comes to the Lord will find bitterness or malice - only sweetness and goodness.

Psalm 33 is an admonition to praise the Lord! We are given several reasons for which we can praise God and trust him. The final verses remind us that God is watching over his people. There is nothing in our lives that escapes his notices. He is loving-kindness is at work in our life. Look for him at work this week and praise his name!

Nothing is going on in our world right now where God is not present, aware, and ruling in his sovereignty to bring about the end in which he created the world. This means we can't quarantine or segregate God from our lives but that he is extending his presence into our lives and calls us to trust and submit to him humbly. Grace is required, and grace is given!

Psalm 20 gives such a convicting reminder that we do not seek God for help and our hope in the battles of the world often enough. Paul tells us in Ephesians 6 that we are fighting a spiritual war; yet, we neglect to offer up prayers to God or strategize efforts to have victory over the evil in this world. May Psalm 20 help remind us that we are culpable in these decisions for whom we praise and fight.
