The hymn, "Amazing Grace," has reminded Christians since 1779 of the grace found in Christ to redeem from sin. In 2006, "Amazing Grace, My Chains are Gone" was written to remind Christians that freedom from the chains of sin is only found in Christ. I once was blind, but now I see! His grace is truly amazing!

The overwhelming theme of all of Scripture is the faithfulness of God – from creation through the history of Israel through the early church and all the way to the promise of Christ's return, we can see

that God is ever-faithful. The Love of God will never let us go! As the psalmist says, "For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations."

Someone with whom you feel comfortable enough to share what's going on in your life and heart. Nothing is off-topic, but you naturally express whatever is on your mind. The hymn writer Joseph Medlicott Scriven lived in the mid-1800s and was an Irish poet and immigrant to Canada. He wants us to consider "What a Friend We Have in Jesus, " which is the name of today's hymn.
