What if the progress you’re waiting for simply needs more time?

In this episode of Devotions at the Well, we reflect on Sanballat’s mocking question in Nehemiah 4:2: “Will they finish up in a day?”

Like an olive tree that can take years to bear fruit, some of the most meaningful work in our lives happens slowly. Motherhood, healing, spiritual growth, and answered prayers don’t always follow the timelines we imagined.

Come sit at the well as we talk about surrendering our timelines, trusting God in the waiting, and remaining faithful even when we can’t see the fruit yet.

What feels delayed according to our timeline isn’t delayed in God’s hands.

What happens when discouragement meets you in the middle of rebuilding?

In Nehemiah 4:2, Sanballat’s words were meant to make God’s people question their strength and the work they were doing. In this episode, we’ll uncover two lies that can discourage us in our own healing: “You’re too weak to rebuild” and “Your obedience isn’t making a difference.”

Sweet mom, you are not rebuilding alone. God meets you in your weakness, and your obedience is never wasted. Keep trusting Him. Keep rebuilding. Don’t give up.

Motherhood is filled with ordinary, repetitive moments—but are they really insignificant?
