O Patron Saint Of Families, pray for us. One can always rely heavily upon the intercession of the Saints. There is a Saint for every cause/concern imaginable. We have Saint Gerard, Patron Saint of Pregnant Women. I have yet to see a statue of him in any Catholic Church that I have been to. My hope is to bring about an awareness of each Saint to you so that you can grow in the knowledge of the saints and their great contributions to the catholic church, and become inspired by them that you will greatly desire to immitate them all by living a saintly life throughout your lifetime. Could it be that God created the heavens and the earth and the angels and the saints to inspire us throughout our life journey here on earth? If that is the case, we have the honor of getting to know all of Gods amazing creatures and the roles that they play all throughout the history of humanity, during our life time. You can research the lives of the saints, either corruptible or incorruptable. I find these truths to be quite fascinating and I enjoy researching their content. Why? Because as a Catholic, God has given to us a great seed, an extra measure of grace, with an even greater desire for knowledge giving us full access in investigating historical religious truths. The Saints of our times, St. John Paul II, St. Teresa of Calcutta, Saint Padre Pio, they all have one thing in common, they were all solely devoted to serving Christ by serving his people. The people of Poland, India, and Italy, were proud to have a saint in their lifetime to look up to and immitate. In many ways their extra measure of talents were given to them to complete the tasks our Lord stirred deep within their hearts to accomplish. God can stir any heart, as long as the heart itself is open to receiving Christ and his message. When we pray we open up our heart, mind, soul, and body to Christ. We desire to be opened so that nothing stands in the way of God's perfect plans for our lives. Tommrow we celebrate the feast day of Saint Joseph, let us call to mind his role in the church, with Mary and Jesus and all parents, single, widowed, divorced, and those who always wanted to enter into marriage and family life and remained chaste, and never experienced love. Know that Jesus loves us exactly where we are. Yet we can call upon him to intercede for us as we begin again in his love and grace. We can be perfectly content in Christ and in Mary and in Saint Joseph. We can pray for their intercession as we go on living as sons and daughters imperfect yet striving for perfection through every prayer said throughout our day, for we are heard, and God is listening and we have to trust with great patience the outcome of our life.
