Jesus's humiliation on earth was evidenced on the cross as He died for the sins of others. But Jesus was highly exalted on the third day when He rose from the dead and then ascended to be with the Father. The church has been called to proclaim both the beauty of Christ's humility and the majesty of Christ's exaltation so that others too might praise the glory of God's grace.
Because Christ was exalted by the Father, we too seek to exalt Him in all that we do, being quick to boast in Christ alone.
