Psalm 63 was written while David was on the run in the wilderness. In verse 1, David intentionally rose early in the morning to seek God out. In verse 6, David by chance was awake at night and remembered and meditated on God. We need to be intentional/purposeful to make time to meet with our God so that when we wake at night we think of God rather than trouble. We all want God near us when we have all these cares and blame God when we have troubles. Your physical body needs your spiritual body to be fed more than to be physically fed. If you have no longing to spend time with God, we would question if He is a resident in you. You should desire a holy place/sanctuary to see God. What in your value system is worth more than your life that you would die for? Will you live for the same things? God from “I need this” to “I have this”. What we do with God in the past impacts our present. In verse 11, even though it is still troubled times, David is glad/happy while hunted.

Psalm 62. We talk about great faith and not losing our faith. What is the object of your faith? Who are you submitting to and surrendering to? It should be Jesus. Jesus provides us stability and confidence. We have an evidence-based faith. We have a real man who came in the flesh and died for us. We are not using as much faith to believe what has so much evidence and facts. So our faith isn't great and is not what saves us, but rather the object of our faith, Jesus, is great and saves us. Verse 3, rather than all of you will be slain, it should tanslate as you all slay Me. Verse 4: They curse in their heart. The nature of our social media today allows people to show their is murder in their hearts because they don't like the message. They attack the messenger because they hate the message, Jesus. But murdering a few of the messengers does not shake our faith. If you are afraid for your safety, you will be quiet. But what is worth dying for to you? Verse 9, evil men have nothing after death (vapor) and their death is meaningless (lie). Verse 8, we are called to trust in God at all times. Pour out your heart and pains to God. Let Him be your refuge. Wait on God who will judge all men and bring justice in eternity. Instead of justice, some need mercy in the hopes that they will go from attacking the messenger to worshiping the Message, just as Saul who became Paul did.

Is Jesus' birthday actually in December during Christmas? Here is the explination why some believe Jesus' birthday is in September. Luke gives the timeline for Jesus' birth. Luke 1:5-27. Zacharias was of the priestly order of Abijah and it was his turn to go into the holy of holies. 1 Chronicles 24:10 lists the divisions of priest with Abijah as the eighth. The priestly rotation begins on the first of Nissan which is the first month of the Jewish sacred year which falls in March or April. Zarachias would have gone into the holy of holies on the 8th week after Nissan. Luke 1:24. Therefore Zarachias and Elizabeth conceived John the Baptist in May or June. Luke 1:26 and 36. Mary conceived Jesus 6 months after Elizabeth conceives John the Baptist which would be in November or December. Nine months of pregnancy would be August or September. Revelation 12:1-5 also describes Jesus' birth. "A women clothed in sun" is the constellation of virgo with the moon under her and above her is twelve stars which is the constellation of Leo with 3 "wandering stars" (Jupiter, Venus, Mercury). This rare celestial event with this specific combination of constellations appeared on September 11th 3 B.C.

Psalms 61.

Psalms 60. David is crying out on Israel's behalf when Saul and his sons were killed and disgraced leaving Israel disgraced and confused. Jesus' crucifixion left His disciples in confusion with their ambitions destroyed. God's annoited carries the authority of God. David's humility was intact. David does not want people to walk into his palace and bow to him, but he wanted them to bow to God. God reserved the countries of Edom, Moab, Philistra, Gilead for His people. A transition of leadership in our lives will change us from having God against us to having God for us. If your plans fail miserably while following an ungodly man or while pursuing what is not glorifing God with your life, praise God that you failed because those are pathetic dreams and you are pursuing the wrong things. You can keep butting heads with God or pursue God with your life. What is the pursuit of your life? Through God we will do valiantly. Whatever our Lord has spoken, we will pursue valiantly. From disaster to victory.

Psalms 59. David realized that he did not come into his kingship through his own wit or might, but through a tenuous road through God's work. We should not let the wickedness of men tear down the work of God. This psalm is about David on the run from Saul when his wife Michal helps David escape her father. David realized that his community the very men who he fought for are now against him. David first idenitifies his enemies by their speech. They attack at night. They make false accusations. Their words are swords. They want to justify harming an innocent man. Jesus never harmed anyone, yet they killed Him. They slandered and gnashed their teeth at Jesus. David and Jesus were not just worried about himself, but about his people. Wicked people may even be in the church, because we are all at risk of becoming like King Saul. Real victims don't complain. They sing about God's power to save them.
