Tyt K needs very little introduction in  Pretoria. The man from DAR (Deep Acoustic Recordings) has been on the show alongside MC Sfoj on Asylum Hour 28 , and has delivered another amazing mix that focuses on the soulful side of house music. Here's the 37th instalment of the Asylum Hour presented by Deep House Congress

I'd like to start off by thanking Scelo and Main K for blessing us with their offerings on the last release. Good to see that the family keeps getting new members all the time :-D

This session we welcome three brothers , Tony VA , JustDaz and MC Sfoj.

The main mix is a session I did with JustDaz, a cool young man hailing from Mpumalanga. We rocked tunes by Ferdi Blankena , Detroit Swindle, Pete Da Feet , Fritz Wentink, Brame & Hamo, HNNY and a few others. We both love football so we decided to record a 90 minute mix

Thokozani (JustDaz) Nkabinde from Phola Location, Emalahleni is an all round music lover. He started following house music in 2006 and got inspired by the likes of G.Family, Jimpster, Lars Behrenroth, Black Coffee and DJ Kent and playfully tried to mimic what they do and in 2009 was persuaded into becoming a DJ. He left the house scene in 2011 to focus on his academics and had a handful of mixes at that time. He has since graduated and has been pushing a series of mixtapes titled "The Resurrection"

Main K makes a return after appearing on the Curtain Close 2014. Funny story about this mix ne, he delivered it to my house at 7PM on Wednesday evening,  with a play list that he had handwritten on a small page  while he was driving hahaha. What a passionate man. 2014 is coming to an end , I hope that we all had a good year, filled with beautiful memories and teachings to be carried through the rest of our lives.

Since we at the end of the year, we have to bring it to an end in the traditional Asylum way with the 2014 Curtain Close edition of the five year old series.

I'd like to thank the soldiers who graced the DHC front lines this year, namely Eon Kganyago , Duke Dwane, Mmely , Guztav Fortuin and this editions guest mixers Main K Lefifi and DBlog. YOUR EFFORTS ARE APPRECIATED

This editions main mix features tracks by Shur I Kan, Pablo Bolivar, Alex Agore, Joseph Teruelle, Bas Amro & one of my brother's favourite artists, James Johnston. We also got the big man Nelson Mandela on deck too. Much respect to him.

On a sombre note, we'd like to announce that The Asylum Xpress will not be held this year due to technical reasons. I extend my apologies to all those who looked forward to another deep serving , we will make up for it in a big way come 2015. Humble apologies :(

I'm learning more things about the djying industry,how to control the crowd and understanding the kind of music I'm play...influences-I'm in love with house music big time, when I was a 14year old, I told my late grandfather to inform the legendary PK to take me whenever he go went out for a gig,just to see what's going on out there when the dj is on the deck. The love I have for house music cannot explained.
