◆概要

今回のDDDにはイケメンカナダ人医師のLeoがやってきました。

中国、日本、カナダの3つの国にルーツを持つLeoは、これまで人生の半分を日本で過ごしてきました。現在は日本で医師として活躍中です。しかし将来どこにいるかは未定のようです。日本にいて「ここが自分の家だ。」と100%思えるわけではないからです。中国で生まれ、中国人の両親をもち、カナダ国籍を持ちながら日本で働いている医師が経験している葛藤と、「ガイコクジン」だからこそできる医療の可能性を、Leoは垣間見せてくれました。

LeoはShuの医学生時代の先輩で、ファッション、料理、インテリアの高いセンスを持ち、外見にも恵まれた才能人です。明るい性格のLeoはトークスキルも持ち合わせており、DDDを盛り上げてくれました。今回はLeoのパーソナリティのおかげで、笑いと温かみ溢れるエピソードになりました。聴いていて元気になるエピソードだと思います。ぜひお楽しみください！

Leo, a handsome Canadian doctor, has come to Deep-Dive Discussions!

An international man, Leo has roots in China, Japan, and Canada. Having spent more than half his life in Japan, he currently works as a doctor there instead of in his country of citizenship (Canada). His future, however, is yet to be determined - he discloses the fact that, even after spending more than 15 years in the country, he still occasionally feels like a foreigner in the homogenous society that is Japan. As a doctor who is ethnically Chinese and has Canadian citizenship, Leo walks the line between questioning his identity and simultaneously realizing the advantages of being an English-speaking foreign doctor in Japan.

Leo was an upperclassman at the same university as Shu. Leo is known for his excellent fashion sense, his cooking and interior decorating skills, as well as his good looks. This talented, open-minded guest has made this special episode of DDD very exciting. We hope that this episode brings you laughter and warmth.
