  • The Last Champagne — based on a true story

French-speaking Switzerland, the early 2000s. In an Italian restaurant, Steeve runs into Rocky, the blue-eyed man he met twenty years earlier on a building site. Rocky orders champagne… and tells him he is ill. To understand that last glass, we have to go back to 1976, and to Noah, a schoolmate Steeve has never forgotten.

An audio drama inspired by a true story lived by Steeve Grangier, freely adapted from his essay on homosexuality and how human relationships face the eyes of the world. Names and some circumstances have been changed. Steeve's voice is the author's own; the other voices are digital (ElevenLabs).

This story deals with illness, grief and death.

  • Who Am I, Anyway? — Nathalie’s Story (fiction)

Nathalie is twenty-one. Three changes of course, a phone that never stops, perfect lives scrolling past on the screen, an anger looking for a face, a joint in the evening to quiet the noise. One day, in a café, she spills her cup in front of X, a man in his sixties who would rather ask questions than give advice.

Twelve meetings over several months, with no miracle and no overnight transformation: naming what weighs on you, coming back to the body, saying a “no” that doesn’t close the door, asking for help when it gets too heavy, and discovering that one bad day doesn’t tell the story of a whole life.

A piece of fiction by Steeve Grangier, inspired by his French guide Retrouver son centre. Written in French and translated for this episode. Digital voices; the voice of X is the author’s own.

⚠️ This episode deals with cannabis use and thoughts of death. The exercises it mentions are no substitute for medical or psychological help. If you are going through a hard time, reach out to someone you trust or a local helpline (US: call or text 988; UK & Ireland: Samaritans, 116 123). In an emergency, call emergency services.

  • Ep. 3 – Did God Create Man? (2/2)

Did God create man, or did man create God? Part two: meaning, the sphere and doubt.

What if the universe had no plan? What if meaning were born from us? Does consciousness appear with life, or is life the expression of a consciousness already present in the universe? Steeve Grangier puts Spherism up against the objections of an artificial intelligence — all the way to the most intimate question: when man asks “Who created me?”, what is he really looking for?

The AI’s replies come from the author’s exchanges with an artificial intelligence, originally in French; some were completed in a second exchange with an AI. The dialogue has been tightened for listening, without rewriting its replies. Digital voices, including Steeve Grangier’s own.

  • Ep. 2 – Did God Create Man? (1/2)

Did God create man, or did man create God? Part one: where gods, and morality, come from.

Starting from his essay The Inner Origin, Swiss painter and writer Steeve Grangier questions an artificial intelligence. Why did man need God? Why do gods look like us? Where do good and evil come from, if not from a sacred authority? The AI objects, nuances, pushes back — and the dialogue moves forward.

  • Ep. 1 – Man, AI and Consciousness in the Making

It all starts with a question about human rights: can we really call it universal when only forty-eight states voted for the 1948 Declaration? From contradiction to contradiction, the dialogue between Steeve Grangier and an artificial intelligence moves on to morality, freedom of conscience, forgiveness and the evolution of humanity. What if AI, rather than one more authority, became a partner in reflection?
