Diary of a Muslim Founder

What does it take to build across industries, embrace new opportunities, and remain grounded in faith and purpose?

In this episode of Diary of a Muslim Founder, we sit down with Sheriff Akinola Bakare, a multifaceted entrepreneur whose journey spans filmmaking, media, real estate, and technology.

From his early days in Nigeria's film industry to studying filmmaking in London, working on productions that made their way to Netflix, and founding his first technology company in 2011, Sheriff's story challenges the idea that success must follow a straight path.

We explore the experiences that shaped his entrepreneurial mindset, his journey into technology, the inspiration behind his ventures, and how his evolving relationship with Islam influenced some of his most defining decisions.

Beyond business, this is a conversation about reinvention, resilience, taking opportunities, and finding the courage to pursue a vision bigger than where you started.

In this episode, we explore:

• Building a career across multiple industries.

• The transition from filmmaking to entrepreneurship.

• Early experiences in technology and Silicon Valley.

• Navigating opportunities, uncertainty, and career transitions.

• The intersection of faith, ambition, and personal values.

• Lessons for the next generation of Muslim founders.

Whether you're an aspiring entrepreneur, a creative professional exploring new opportunities, or someone navigating a major transition, this conversation offers valuable perspectives on building with intention.

Because sometimes, the journey isn't about changing your dreams. It's about discovering a bigger vision.

Welcome to Episode 2 of Diary of a Muslim Founder, where we explore Ambition. Purpose. Impact.
