This will be the final episode of Diary of Twitch Streamer. It's been a good run but I think it's time to bring it to an end. I go into further detail on the episode and all the episodes will remain on Spotify and anchor.fm. I think the topic of the podcast will work much better as shorter vlog type videos on YouTube. On this week's episode I talk about my need to focus on my health and my content by finally taking my own advice. By the end of this year my goal is to reach Twitch Partner, or at least get close to that and a few things need to happen and that's what I cover this week.

This week's episode is part apology and part explanation of how my depression affects my ability to create content. This may be something you can relate to and if so, let me know. It's not something I talk about...ever, nor have I really told anyone about it. It can be a tough subject for some, but it's OK to get it off your chest and start a conversation. On a lighter note, I give my first impressions and review of the new streaming platform, Glimesh. I'm also doing more with the YouTube channel and if you are interested in the content I make, please consider subbing at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPXZbxjrDOYZAjWOKsznTnA

This week's episode is more of a response to a listener's tweet about being a variety streamer. I think there are some misconceptions about the term and I want to take some time to offer some clarification and suggestions. I also touch on my experience with Just Chatting streams and share my thoughts about that.

This week I discuss the importance of the support offered by your family. I talk about how the lack of support can kill your content creation and how it killed mine several years ago. I also provide some ideas on how you can convince your doubting family to support your passion for content creation.

Last week Twitch emailed their 2020 recap to streamers and viewers. While most people were excited to see streaming stats for the year, some of us see numbers and start to stress. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people and felt the need to share my experience with you and maybe you can relate. This week I look back on mistakes I've made, things I could have done better, and decisions I'm happy with. Also, I created a Twitter account for the podcast and you can follow it over at twitter.com/dtscast.

I and many others will tell you that the best way to grow on Twitch is to stream a single game. While I still believe that, I've realized during my two week break, I don't want to be that kind of streamer. I've tried several times to pick just one game but more times than not, I over think things and stress myself out.

The week of Christmas is upon us and I have to admit, this is the time my inner kid breaks loose. I've always been a Christmas kid and the feeling the holiday brings me is wonderful. There are, however, some folks who have it rough during these times. Whether it's from mental illness or the loss of family members, the holidays can be hard on some folks.

On this episode I briefly cover Twitch's Town Hall stream and give my takeaways from that. The majority of the episode is focused on my thoughts on Cyberpunk 2077 and my plans for YouTube content focused on the game. This week I cover a few updates post-decision to leave the Twitch affiliate program. This week's topic is one that has been bothering me for a few weeks now and I just need to get it off my chest. As a content creator, people will repeatedly ask you the same questions. It's how you answer them that defines you and your community.
