Dice Time

Board games perfect for spooky season? You bet! Ben and Trista are no strangers to board games OR Halloween, and now they've come to deliver some of their favorite suggestions from this year straight to you!

It's back into the world of Star Wars Legion, and the boys take on two big topics in today's episode. First, we will walk you through the controversy online about some 2024 World Invites being retracted, and our tips to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. Then, Ministravaganza brought a whole slew of releases! We'll highlight our favorite announcements and even give you a few lists to try with what we know!

Another year of Gen Con in the books! Looking for a much too long episode that shares all the games and all our crazy adventures along the way? Look no further! It's Dice Time's annual Gen Con episode! Join Trista Walker, Ben Jeatran, Paul Watson, and special guest Phil Walker as they replay all their favorite moments from each day of the best 4 days in gaming!

Today, Ben is joined by IndyGarrison's Matt Evans and Adam Slaber as they share their experiences with the 2023 Store Tournament season thus far and what thoughts on the organization of the events. Plus, with Gen Con literally the day after this episode airs, what everyone is most excited about and looking forward to!

After the Muncie tournament was delayed, Ben and Paul had time to go over the new point changes that released earlier this month. Where they say the game is now, and what they claim got nerfed so bad that it reminded them of the original fall of GAR.

Ben and Paul are working for a new client! The new and mysterious figure, Fulcrum, has all kinds of news to give to the boys to talk about, including lots of files on the new release, Ahsoka (wonder how they got these...) the new profile for Chewbacca that can run with the ewoks, and the beginning of a new season of tournaments for Legion! If you've got a new event upcoming and want to prepare, definitely give this new intel a listen!

Come along on a wonderful adventure of laughs, tears, and dice rolls as the boys travel to Adepticon 2023! Joined by Shawn Morris (TheTerrainStudio / Friday Night Fights) and Justin Rodrigo (Friday Night Fights / Your Blood and Plunder demo table next year), Paul and Ben take you through all the amazing games they played over the weekend, including the Star Wars Legion World Championship! With so many adventures and fun to be had, this episode is one of our longest yet! A video recap from Ben will be available on TheTerrainStudio youtube channel soon!

After a profitable and exciting set of missions, Ben and Josh sit down to discuss and review the finer points of the new in-Beta Legion game mode, Special Operations. Afterwards, Ben catches up with Paul to discuss what they expect to see at Adepticon, and Ben even shares how he's definitely cracked the code and totally made what the next guaranteed meta archetype will be.

Paul and Ben cover all sorts of topics today, from Paul's experience in an Escalation League to explaining all the major rule changes that came out in January, and even a glimpse at what awaits the boys (and you!) at Adepticon! If you're looking for more discussion on what exactly has changed with the new rules in Legion, this is a great listen for you!

Setting up for the biggest heist of the year, Ben and Paul review the tools they have at their disposal. They have experience (the Dynamic Exit scenario), they have a lead (new rules leaks for the upcoming ruleset) and they have each other (thus the episode's length). We all from team Dice Time thank you for your support in 2022 and can't wait to make even more awesome fun in 2023!
