A young man from Harlan, Kentucky, fought for the Confederacy in the Civil War, then returned home to study law with his father.  This man had the world in his hands...until alcohol took it away, costing him his law practice.  Soon he headed west to reclaim his life, and that's where today's podcast kicks into high gear!
