Dryden Small the well-known Egyptologist was returning to America with certain treasures he’d discovered in the ancient tomb of Tutanimal. Small had reason to believe that someone was trying to kill him and Tracy was asked to protect him on the voyage to America. Sitting in Smalls’ cabin the first night out Dick and Pat were startled to see a strange face peering in at their window.

As Dick and the ships captain hurried to Deck A someone cried "man overboard" It seems Pat fighting hand to hand with the man with the yellow face had been thrown overboard. Brave and courageous detective Tracy leaped over the side after his friend. Will he save him or will he too meet death in the black waters of the ocean?

In the last episode Dick examined the dust taken from the coat through a vacuum cleaner thereby narrowing the search for the gangs headquarters. Pat heading the searching party telephoned and gave Dick a message in code. What was in that message?
