What's So Great About the Great Pyramid?

Did Ancient Egyptians Use the Meter Before the French Invented It?

Listen Later

The AIP is in receipt of a study by a mathematician from Spain, Willem Verhart, who believes the measurements of the sarcophagus of Pharaoh Djedfre shows a knowledge of the meter by the 4th Dynasty Egyptians. Verhart also says there is a mathematical relationship between the sarcophagi of the 4th Dynasty pharaohs, including Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure and Djedefre.

AIP Director Larry Pahl shares part of his interview with Mr. Verhart in this episode.  If you have the Anchor app, you can call in any questions that may arise in your mind as a result of listening to this podcast.
