Hey folks…I was doing some work outside this evening and the air had that “changing of the seasons” tinge to it. I’m not trying to rush the end of summer – it’ll come soon enough on it’s own. However, I am feeling excited about September and getting back into the rhythm of the year. A couple of details that go with that as follows:

-we are gathering at Pantages until further notice

-we will have a gathering on the long weekend

-Kids Table will start up again on September 17th.  Whoop!

-Talky Bit…I keep gesturing toward talking about what might be problematic about the idea that humans are “worse than we know”, as one local church sign would have it. So I’m going to go poking around in that this Sunday, and see if I can connect the dots between the “everything is broken” perspective and the long echo that comes from regarding God as primarily ferocious rather than primarily gracious. We’ll see where that gets us. I suspect it may result in something akin to a plug for feminism. Hmmm….those are some pretty divergent themes. Better bring a lunch.
