Season 1, Bonus Episode 2
Go, DJ, It's My Dj. Go, DJ, It's My DJ.
Tash and Kev are giving flowers to DJ's who deserve them. In this episode, it's DJ Kenny. All the way from Dubai, he's been on the ones and twos, spinning the dopest Caribbean and R&B music since the beginning of COVID from his Facebook Live. DJ Kenny goes live on Mondays at 11 am PST. Just look for DJ Kennymix on FaceBook and tune it.
For keeping the vybez flowing during quarantine, he deserves his shoutout. Thank you for your gift of music and for keeping us dancin and swangin during the quarantine.
Season 1, Bonus Episode
Tash was introduced to this artist by a friend. Since she liked her song so much, she decided to introduce it on this bonus episode for the I Luv Music episode. Ladies and gentlemen, I present Loreal Lewis. Her newest single, Patience, is included in the playlist for this episode.
Season 1, Episode 4
*PLAYLIST FOR THIS EPISODE CAN BE FOUND ON APPLE MUSIC AND SPOTIFY. JUST TYPE DID THEY JUST SAY THAT PODCAST IN THE SEARCH.*
Kev and Tash really thought R&B was dead...hey they're still listening to R&B from the early 90s (don't judge them). It wasn't until a reconnection with an old friend for Kev and a hangout with a new friend for Tash that they realized that R&B is not dead... it's getting better. In this episode, Kev and Tash are profiling music from new artists (and a couple of old ones) that are saving R&B in their option. For easier listening, they even included a playlist with the music played in the episode and a couple of bonus tracks for the honorably mentioned artists.
So get ready to pour up your favorite alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage and relax to the soothing sounds of these talented artists and the hosts of the Did They Just Say That podcast. Enjoy!!
Season 1, Episode 3B
These kids are still different...
Tash and Kev continue the conversation about how Millennial kids are different. In this part of the conversation, they discuss parenting millennial kids and how they tailor their parenting style to their kids' personalities and understanding of social norms. Millennials are more socially aware and accepting of counterculture and subculture. Tash and Kev discuss how they deal with that while making sure not to lose their minds.
Tash and Kev also give a little insight into how they were raised and how their upbringing shaped them into the citizens they are today. Their parents dropped gems like - you better be home by the time the street light comes on, you ain't going over there I don't know their parents, and the most famous one: I brought you in this world, I'll take you out.
This episode is part two of a two-part conversation about these damn kids...their beloved millennial children.
Season 1 Episode 3A
"They different", is the theme of this conversation between Kev and Tash when discussing raising their millennial children.
Tech smart - yes. Computer-literate - definitely. Social skills - questionable. A true millennial.
Kev and Tash discuss how they communicate with their kids and the importance of being open with them but setting boundaries, something that a lot of millennial children do not understand. This episode is part one of a two-part conversation about these damn kids...their beloved millennial children.
