  • (We Used to Live Here) Okay… But Which Reality?

    Send me a message!

A strange family shows up at your door claiming they used to live in your house. Do you let them in?

Apparently, the main character said, “Sure, why not?”

Now people are disappearing, the house is acting suspicious, nobody knows what's going on (including me), and I have approximately 47 questions about Thomas and his weird family.

So for real… did we read the same book?

  • Was It the Writing or My Attention Span? (Red Rising)

    Send me a message!

Everyone loves Red Rising by Pierce Brown. I… thought it was okay. Darrow becomes a Gold, infiltrates an elite school, and then we spend the rest of the book playing war games. I forgot names, skimmed some battles, questioned my own attention span, and somehow made it to the end. I was told the series gets better so I still have hope!

  • Caving Was the First Red Flag (Her Last Breath)

    Send me a message!

This week, we’re discussing Her Last Breath by Taylor Adams: a claustrophobic thriller full of terrible decisions, suspicious people, and enough twists to make us wish they had all just stayed home. I make a lot of guesses about what really happened and what the twists could be... I might even be right about some!

  • The System Didn’t Fail, It Protected Them (Nobody’s Girl)

    Send me a message!

This week, we’re discussing Nobody’s Girl, Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir about surviving childhood abuse, being trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, and spending years fighting to be heard.

This episode is heavier than our usual chaos because there is no way to tell Virginia’s story without becoming furious, not only at the people who abused her, but at every adult, institution, and powerful person who failed her or helped keep the system running. We talk about the grooming that made exploitation look like opportunity, the shame of being forced into complicity, and the brave decision Virginia made to help bring her abusers to justice.

Content warning: This episode discusses childhood sexual abuse, sex trafficking, grooming, domestic violence, and suicide.

  • I'm Glad I Didn't Quit (House of Flame and Shadow)

    Send me a message!

This week I'm talking about House of Flame and Shadow, where I spent half the book trying to remember everyone's storyline, got way too excited every time the crossover characters showed up, and somehow ended up loving a series I almost gave up on.

Let's talk about the finale, the characters, the ending, and why I'm genuinely confused about what Sarah J. Maas could possibly do in a fourth book.

  • I Had So Many Theories (My Husbands Wife)

    Send me a message!

This week I'm talking about My Husband's Wife by Alice Feeney, and this book had me making theories every few chapters.

From mysterious identities and missing women to family secrets and unreliable characters, I spent the entire book trying to figure out what was really happening... and while I guessed a few twists, plenty still caught me by surprise.

In this episode, I'm walking through my predictions as I read, what I got right, what completely fooled me, and whether the ending actually worked for me.

  • Blackmail, Tattoos & Bad Decisions (Game On)

    Send me a message!

This week I'm talking about Game On, by Navessa Alan, the third book in the Into Darkness series. This one had a little bit of everything, blackmail, underground gambling, fake dating, family secrets, tattoos, and enough drama to keep me entertained.

We also need to discuss that plot twist, the family drama, and the ending... because I definitely have thoughts.

Plus, I may or may not have listened to one of the spiciest scenes while wandering around a store by myself, and I was convinced my headphones were about to betray me.

  • I Went From DNF to Emotional Breakdown (Cresent City)

    Send me a message!

This week I finally forced myself to read House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas…after attempting it FOUR separate times.

    Did I understand everything? No.
Did I spend most of the book confused? Absolutely.
Did I end up emotionally devastated anyway? Unfortunately, yes.

We’re talking murder, demons, magical drugs, broody fallen angels, friendship trauma, portals to hell, and me literally crying in traffic towards the end.
