This week's ani-minisode is all about Shōnen as a genre, the big three debate, and the women's love of the genre as well as their complicate relationships with the fandom surrounding it. 

This week the women watched theMob Psycho 100 live action mini-series on Netflix! To help talk about the bad wigs and even badder CGI, Jeff Trammell, Head Writer on Cartoon Network's Craig of the Creek. They talk about anime recommendations, the Mob Psycho 100 anime, and ship LaNeysha with every tall guy that showed up in the live action this week. 

This week, LaNeysha and Kate talk about the one and only Godzilla in this review of Godzilla: King of the Monsters. They talk about how this iteration of the kaiju borrows from the Netflix anime series, stan MothraXGodzilla, and discuss Rodan's destruction of Mexico, while gushing about the film's visuals and Ken Watanabe.

This week, the women talk about a recent adaptation: Pokémon Detective Pikachu! In addition to their Crunch Time picks, LaNeysha and Kate break down their feels for the adorable Pokémon of Ryme City, discuss the video game, the anime, and of course have some side conversations too!

This week we start a new side-show: Should Have Been an Anime! Here, we watch movies that from the movie poster and description look like they should have been an anime but were just movies instead. We kick it off with Yakuza Apocalypse from 2015, directed by legend Takashi Miike.

This week, the women review and recap Gantz: O, a film that is kind of a live action? I mean, Disney is calling The Lion King live-action so this counts. In it we follow a highschool after he is brutally murdered in a subway station and awakee to find himself resurrected by a strange computer named Gantz, and forced to fight a large force of invading aliens in Osaka. Oh, and Kate yells about video games. Find out what we thought now! 

We finally got our hands on the My Hero Academia: Two Heroes DVD so you know what time it is! Check out what we think about the fist My Hero Academia movie and why it's pretty much a Plus Ultra version of Die Hard.

This week, the women are back and they're tackling Black Butler. In a film that changes almost everything about the anime, settings, gender, meaning(?), how does it stack up to the other adaptations.  

Since the women just got back from SXSW, they're bringing you another Ani-minisode this week! This week, they talk with Eunice, the creator of BlackGirlsAnime, and they discuss what it is like to be a women in anime fandom. The women talk about their otaku journeys, sexism in anime and fandom, how to deal with trolls, and ultimately the power of finding a community of your own - even if you have to make it.
