Sean “Diddy” Combs files for mistrial in federal sex‑trafficking trial

In a bombshell move, Diddy’s defense team submitted their second mistrial request on June 7, 2025, arguing that “prosecutorial misconduct” has tainted the trial. According to their motion, key testimony—particularly that of a woman alleging she saw Combs yanking Bryana Bongolan from a Los Angeles balcony—was “demonstrably false.” Text messages and hotel records reportedly place Diddy in New York City between September 24–29, 2016, casting serious doubt on the prosecution’s timeline.

Additionally, Combs’ lawyers claim that photos of alleged injuries were misdated or mislabeled and were introduced after the defense was allegedly prevented from adequately challenging them on cross-examination.

. This is the second mistrial request in as many weeks; an earlier motion tied to questions about the bombing of a Kid Cudi car was denied on May 28—yet the defense is doubling down and flagging this new alleged misconduct.
