Netizens are accusing Nigerian philanthropist and content creator Bayuz TV (Adeniran Bayo Israel) of using vulnerable individuals and minors for content to drive views, likes, and social media monetization. Many critics argue that filming deeply emotional, vulnerable moments of impoverished individuals on camera strips them of their dignity. Detractors claim that the primary motive behind the videos is financial gain from online monetization platforms rather than pure altruism.

She said, "I am a pastor's daughter who got pregnant out of wedlock by a global superstar. And I was mocked.
It was crazy. And I had to find my strength in the midst of all of that. And for the longest time, I didn't have a voice. I was famous, I was popular, but I didn't have a voice."
Sophia said the negativity surrounding the story often drowned out her own voice, adding that she wanted her experience to be better understood.
She also recalled being asked by an aunt to remain silent about the issue because it was considered a topic Black women were not expected to discuss publicly.
According to her, sharing her story through different international platforms helped her realise that she was not alone, as several women reached out to share similar experiences.
Christian TikTok creator Audrey Cyril, who has more than 600,000 followers, has found herself at the centre of an online controversy after several women publicly accused her fiancé, popularly known as Mr Presh, of maintaining relationships with them while he was allegedly in a relationship with her.
The drama unfolded shortly after Audrey—a 25-year-old content creator known for her faith-based videos and commitment to celibacy—revealed her fiancé's face online. Following the reveal, multiple women, starting with a lady named Oma, publicly called out Mr Presh with allegations of infidelity, claiming he was romantically involved with them even after proposing to Audrey in July.
The controversy started after a woman identified as Oma shared her account of her alleged relationship with Mr Presh.
Oma claimed that she had been communicating with him for some time and that they had gone on staycations together. She also said she cooked for him during his visits and believed they were developing a relationship.
Following the circulation of her account, other women began sharing their own allegations online.
One woman claimed that Mr Presh took her on dates, told her he was single, spent time with her during movie nights and showered her with attention before she later discovered that he had become engaged.
Audrey and Mr Presh had not publicly addressed the latest allegations in the material available for this report.
While internet speculation suggested that family members or her mother insisted on calling off the event, guests and commentators have shared updates demonstrating that the wedding festivities are active.
Public figures close to the couple noted that Audrey and Mr Presh have had a direct conversation about the allegations, with Audrey choosing to view his past relationships as behind him rather than letting them block her marriage.
The viral interaction between Nigerian comedian Real Warri Pikin (Anita Asuoha) and singer Timaya sparked a major social media debate regarding the boundaries of married female entertainers on stage.
The controversy kicked off in September 2026 at the AFRIMMA Awards (Africa Award) in Dallas, Texas, shortly after Real Warri Pikin won the award for Best Stand-Up Comedian. While Timaya was performing his hit song "Uku" on stage, he called for a woman to join him from backstage.
Real Warri Pikin came out, and as part of his energetic performance, Timaya encouraged her to jump on him. Despite some initial hesitation, she complied, leading to an intense on-stage moment where they danced and he lifted her. Timaya even jokingly yelled out an apology during the show to her husband, Ikechukwu.

Social media commentator GehGeh heavily criticized her pivot, calling her unremorseful response a "direct attack on her husband's ego" and demanding she delete the video.
