Intriguing story with characters true to life

Loved the details, descriptions with care, realistic situations in life and characters made understandable. Switching between the lives of the two brothers keeps the story alive and exciting. Lots of insight in historical settings. Great story. Must read the continuation involving brother number three and hopefully curving back into the lives of the other two.

A very readable book

Assuming the historic backgrounds in this book, which discussed Germany, Norway and Kenya from about 1900 to 1930, were truthful, I feel that I learned a lot. The main characters seemed very real. It was hard to put the book down. Now I want to read the sequel.
