Wisecracking tough guy NYPD detective John McClane flies to Los Angeles to meet his estranged wife for her company Christmas Party, After a group of terrorists crashes the party, John becomes the hostages' only hope as he escapes into the bowles of the building. Having to deal with terrorists, coked out coworkers, ego driven LAPD captains, and FBI maniacs, John manages to thwart the terrorists’ plans and save his wife.
