Manual outreach... In my opinion the best way to start from scratch spending 0 money on advertising.

When I was starting to do stuff online I tried a lot of methods to make money.

Of course Mr. not-so-smart tried to figure out everything  for himself.

The result?

Lost thousands of dollars in advertising.

I probably just made back $100.

The point here is that if you don't know where to start advertising your product or service, doing manual outreach might be the best option for you.

Here is a common excuse I heard:

"There are to many products to promote, I don't start because I can't decide"

Let me tell you that I've been there.

I used to have that same excuse, and let me explain:

Of course that you need to pick a decent product to promote that pays you a decent commission and that also gives a great experience to your customers.

But if you don't decide because of the money, because the shitty product gives you better commissions, you are playing the wrong game.

I get that you want to make money. But if you will sacrifice your customers experience and promote something that is less than great, you are going to lose.

If you are worried for the money, I have the perfect solution.

Promote the best product, it doesn't mater if it pay less.

Along with your affiliate product, provide a service that you can charge good money for it.

You can earn $50 per affiliate sale, that's cool, but what if you sell a service for $500 when you also make the affiliate sell?

That's more than 10x the money.

While $50 for a commission is not that much, you can compensate it with a service and this same concept will allow you to get traction faster.

You are promoting the best product in the world but not getting sales?

That is a very common thought.

Don't expect that the product sells itself, it doesn't happen.

If you really want to make sales, you need to have a well crafted sales process in order to position the product you are promoting as the only way to achieve a desired result a.k.a marketing.

Afraid to sell?

Yeah, that used to be me.  If I'm being honest, I still don't feel 100% confident when it comes to selling. That won't stop me from keep practicing and improving.

Here are the lessons I wish I had learned long ago: 

1. Know your worth.

2. Don't cut prices.

3. Don't give random discounts.

4. Don't work for free.

Practice your sales. It doesn't matter if you suck at first. The truth is that you will anyways.

I used to have those excuses, and you know what?

To this day I'm not good in video, my english is not perfect, I'm not confortable in video at all.

It took me a long time to start putting myself out there.

Content will not only will help you to build trust with people, it is your long term strategy.

Recently I received a message saying "Hey Diego, I want to make $10k a month but with those commissions i'll never get there."

Fair enough.

Honestly I agree.

You would need to make 250 sales a month selling a product that pays you a $40 commission in order to make $10k a month.

And we are not even taking into account if your are doing paid ads, but let's think that you manage to do 250 sale organically a month.

I'm not saying that is impossible, but common, those are a lot of sales...

What I recommend is to take a modern approach to affiliate marketing.

I call it "modern" affiliate marketing because it is a different approach that I took to get traction faster.

It pretty much consists in providing a service AND also getting paid as an affiliate.
