In this edition of the Dietz4Iowa Podcast, we switch gears! It's almost summer and that means it's time for Figure 8 racing in Iowa. This year, Blake and Ciera Gunderson of Hampton are in their first year as owners of what was formerly known as the Meyer Motorsports Racing Series, and is now Gunderson Racing. We take a look back at 2016 points standings, then Blake joins us to talk about their new venture, some changes for the season and the excitement building up around the 2017 Figure 8 racing season in North Central Iowa.

In this edition of the Dietz4Iowa Podcast, a conversation with my good friend, Fritz Groszkruger. Fritz offers a lot of insights through his life experiences as a small farmer, from his past as an anti-war protester, and his fondness of retiring L.A, Dodgers radio announcer Vin Scully. Be sure to check out Fritz's blog at AlternativeByFritz.com and in many small Iowa towns you can find his column "The Alternative" in small town local newspapers.

In Epidode 3 of the Dietz4Iowa Podcast, Shane Vander Hart joins us to discuss all things Caffeinated Thoughts, including their upcoming Caffeinated Thoughts Briefing for 2016, plus Shane gives us some insight into some of this season's legislative elections in Iowa. How has the alt-right movement affected Iowa politics, what's going on with a House race for a conservative district in Sioux County, and will Republicans finally wrest control of the Iowa Senate away from Dictator Gronstal his Senate minions? Forgive me for the decreased audio quality in the opening and close of the podcast. I didn't have time to stay in the studio to record those parts, but the interview with Shane sounds great~and it's always important to make the guest sound good!

This is Episode 1 of what I'm calling the Dietz4Iowa Podcast. Uploaded on August 13, 2016 this episode contains an interview I conducted on January 20, 2011 with former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson who is the Libertarian Party's 2016 Presidential nominee, and was also the Party's 2012 nominee. Toward the end, I give some of my thoughts on 2016. I hope not to talk much about the national political scene, but it's a Presidential election year, so I'll cut myself a little slack this time, plus this interview was already done and it was relevant.
