In Digging up Ancient Aliens, our host Fredrik uses his background in archaeology to discover what is genuine, fake, and somewhere in between on the TV show Ancient Aliens. 

This time we will solve the riddles of the Sphinx, could there be an ancient library beneath this famous monument? Some believe that the "Hall of Records" is real and is evidence of a much older sphinx. But how have Egyptologists dated this monument, and how would we know if it's correct? By using the latest research and technologies, we hope to decode this ancient mystery.

We'll also hunt for the Holy Grail and Visigoth treasure in Rennes-le-Château and Rosslyn Chapel. Did a french priest stumble upon portals and riches from another dimension? Did the templars find the Holy Grail and hide it with the help of William Sinclair in Scotland?

It's about a mysterious disappearance, so it might fit well with the month we're in now. Also, according to Ancient Aliens proponents, this work is one of the best examples of alien abduction in American literature.

So pull up a chair, get cozy, and we will have Dizzy tell us a story. Then we will attempt a small literary analysis of Ambrose Bierce.

Let's brush off the dirt and get back up in the saddle as we finish the second half of episode one from season three (S03E01) called "Aliens in the old west." 

We're going deep into America's early days and meeting its inhabitants that, according to some, tell strange tales of creatures not belonging there.

Today we will cover the genesis of the Mormon church or "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." Are stories about angels and other beings evidence of an extraterrestrial influence on Joseph Smith? We look into the early days of church history and uncover a violent past with our scientific research. We unveil ties to the moundbuilder myth and a great dose of plastic shamanism. 

Later, we learn about Blackfoot mythology and read poetry from Walt Whitman. There's also the fate of Ambrose Bierce and a strange flying creature in both California and Arizona.

This is a little shorter episode where we break away from the TV-show and investigate a new phenomenon that was all the rage a decade ago. We will dive deep into who created the origin, is it really real and what is the evidence behind it.

This also means that we will have to get to know Semir Osmanagic a lot better. If you’re not already familiar with this name you will be at the end of this episode.

Our host Fredrik continues the mission to discover what is genuine, fake, and somewhere in between on the TV-show Ancient Aliens. In this episode we will break down episode ten from season two (Ancient Aliens S02E10) called “Aliens and the Third Reich”. It originally aired on November 25 2010.

This episode will be a bit more serious one than usual. Even if we tend to research topics and claims within this episode contain a bit of extra of it. We will digg down into claims that Nazi Germany had contact with or built their advanced weaponry upon lost alien technology. The ideas that on the surface seem to be just loony and a bit out there did contain a quite dark history that the History Channel seems to have been ignoring.

Most of the show is built upon the ideas of Neo-Nazis, original nazis, spiritual sources and missinformation. Strong claims but my research is going in that direction. To back this up I’ve added my sources and also a transcription of the show. If you know people who don’t listen to podcasts they can read it instead. Just a brief CW, it is an episode that focuses heavily on the second world war. We don’t go into any details but we mention executions, suicide and the horrors of world war two.

Our host Fredrik continues the mission to discover what is genuine, fake, and somewhere in between on the TV-show Ancient Aliens. In this episode we will break down episode two from season two (Ancient Aliens S02E02) called “Gods and Aliens”. It originally aired in November 2010.

This is an episode that will bring us to the warm sun in Greece to visit the ancient gods up on Mount Olympus. We will travel more north and to the great halls of Odin and Thor. Could these mythological gods really be aliens in disguise? To help us sort these theories out properly we had to go big and slightly inebriated. Joining us this week is Cait and other Jenn from “Drunk Mythology Gals”.  

We take a deep dive into the mythology of aliens and the theories that Zeus and Odin are the same person. That Apollo might be the better evidence of extra-terrestrial teachers and we go back to the Carnac stones yet again to explore their mysteries. We also go through the story of the Lovelock giants and the pottery shard that some claimed had “Goliath” written on it.
