In 1979, under Lieutenant Colonel Mengistu Haile-Mariam, the Ethiopian government sent thousands of Ethiopian children to Cuba to be educated. Cuba, an ally of Ethiopia in the Ethio-Somali war, offered housing and education for war orphans. The Cuban government accepted 2,400 Ethiopian students, aged seven to fourteen, to study at Escuelas Secundarias Basicas en el Campo (basic rural secondary schools) - on the small island of Isla de la Juventud. This is an interview with Engineer Shibeshi Kassa, who were among the students travelled to cuba.

After listening to a great reggae track by an Ethiopian reggae singer Sami Dan i was so blessed and me think about the current situation in Ethiopia. As i am recording this episode i was so devastated by all the inappropriate things happening out in my home land. the song actually talks everything starts with a seed that leads us to distraction and the only way we can defeat it is by PEACE AND LOVE!!!

I have mentioned two facts that we all should work towards to for a better Ethiopia. we should be courageous to focus and spread all the good news.
