  • #016: How Often Should You Email Your List?
Ask five different email marketers how often you should email your list and you're likely to get five different responses.

In today's show, I'm going to tell you exactly how often I think you should email your list and *why* so you can make an informed decision on your personal email marketing strategy.

By the way, email marketing isn't dead. It's very much alive. And if you do it right, you can expect to generate at least $1 in monthly revenue for every email subscriber you have. It's still, by far, the best-performing digital marketing channel there is.

  • #015: Everything is Sales
    Everything is sales.

Say it again. Everything is sales.

You have to start thinking this way.

    What do I mean?

Every article you write is sales.

Every social media post is sales.

    Every email is sales.

    EVERYTHING is sales.

You can't just think of sales as selling a product or service. There's a lot of selling that takes place way before that.

When you post your article on social media, the copy that you use is selling people on the idea of clicking on that post.

The post itself is selling people on something. Maybe it's selling them on executing on a specific task. Maybe it's selling them on thinking a certain way. It's definitely selling them on joining your email list, no?

When you send an email, it's the same thing. That email has a purpose and needs to be crafted in a way to sell according to that purpose.

    So, everything is sales.

You may not have a product yet, but that doesn't mean you're not selling.
    Quick Exercise
Answer these three questions as they relate to your business...

What ideas do I need to sell people on?
What mindset do I need to sell people into adopting?
What do I have to sell my prospects on NOT doing?

Make sure you listen to the episode for examples.

And I've got a lot more questions where that came from. But for that level of insight, I'm going to direct you to two places...

First, if you like hot fire when it comes to digital marketing and online business insights, you need to be on my daily VIP email list – https://digitalambition.co/list/

Second, if you like money and making a lot more of it than you currently are, then you should do a strategy call with me – https://digitalambition.co/services/

  • #014: Overcoming Overwhelm (w/ Jenny Shih)
I felt that in 2017 I was doing too much.

I felt like I was putting too much effort into certain places that weren't creating a strong payoff. And in doing this, I was running myself ragged unnecessarily.

I don't set goals or resolutions at the beginning of a year. Instead, I create a theme. And my theme for 2018 is "simplicity and simplification."

During the month of December, I went through my personal life and I looked for all the ways I can simplify things. I went through my schedule. I went through finances. I went through all the personal responsibilities that I have and I cut out a lot of stuff.

I did the same thing with my businesses. I cut expenses, dropped various software applications that we really didn't need, cut out some product lines that weren't as popular, and so on.

As we launch into 2018, I want to keep this momentum of simplification going by inspiring you to make some changes in your own life and business.

To help with this, Jenny Shih is joining me for a discussion on overcoming overwhelm. We have a great conversation that applies to people who are trying to grow their business as well as people who just have an idea and are overwhelmed with all that needs to be done to execute on it.

There's a lot of good stuff in this episode – I hope you enjoy it.

  • #013: My Super Efficient Content Production Strategy for 2018
The problem with content marketing is the content production side of things.

This is especially true as we head into 2018 because video and audio content are so important and those can be difficult to produce for a lot of people.

What's even more difficult is trying to produce unique content for each medium. A unique video, a unique podcast, a unique article, and so on.

I've made the unique content mistake many times in the past. It always ends in overwhelm, burnout, and generally poor traction across various mediums.

On this episode of the SIx-Figure Grind Podcast, I'm going to share with you my super efficient content production strategy for 2018.

  • #011: The Riches Are in the Niches
How quickly and easily you go from zero to six figures with your lifestyle business is dependent in a big way on the niche you choose.

If your business serves a market that's too big and too generic, you'll get swallowed.

If your business serves a market that's too small and too specific, the soil isn't deep enough to grow in.

To give yourself the best chance of success, you need to find a medium-tail niche where profitability intersects with your passion and proficiency.

That's what today's episode is all about.

  • #010: YouTube Success From Scratch w/ Sean Cannell
Sean Cannell joins me on the show today to answer the question, "if you had to start from scratch tomorrow on YouTube, what would your process for success look like?"

Sean definitely knows what he's talking about when it comes to YouTube. The guy has over half a million subscribers across his two primary channels.

There's a lot of gold in this conversation so grab a note pad and let's get to it.

Sean's audio is a little low in the beginning but after a few minutes it matches mine better. Skype has been a PITA lately.

Elizabeth Goddard joins me on the show today for a real grab-bag of golden nuggets.

Elizabeth is a VA (virtual assistant – though she hates that term) specializing in tech skills and strategy, a ConvertKit certified expert, and six-figure lifestyle business owner.

Here's some of what we discussed in our conversation:

How Elizabeth transitioned from almost becoming a math teacher to building a six-figure lifestyle business.
Why specialization instead of generalization can open the door to business success.
How identifying gaps in the market and creating products to fill them can massively increase profits and growth.
A strategy Elizabeth has used to create instant personal brand awareness.
