Dave and MJC are here to recap EA Play Live 2020!
With E3 not happening this year, EA decided to keep their EA Play event going and this year sure felt like a transition year..
The biggest surprise announcement was Skate is back, but in what capacity is what Dave and MJC are wondering. Cross Play was huge with Star Wars Squadrons and Apex Legends bring the feature later this year.
Other highlights included a trio of EA Originals and teases for EA’s big studios, Bioware, Criterion and Dice.

Before we get into gaming this week we talk a little about the current state of the country and some of our feelings.
There’s gaming news to cover though and we have a lot to say. This week we briefly spotlight the Wholesome Direct, which was a much needed wholesome showcase of indie games. Then we dive deep into some PS5 news about backwards compatibility and breaking down GameIndustry.biz’s interview with Sony Interactive Entertainment's president and CEO Jim Ryan.
In Playing, there was much needed comfort gaming for both Dave and MJC, you know what that means already. And some other games as well like Xcom Chimera Squad, Donut County and more.
