Digital Killed The Radio Star Podcast

Ace Von Johnson Interview by Digital Killed The Radio Star

This year R.E.M. is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their last album with the classic lineup The New Adventures In Hi-FI. Billy Berry would soon depart the band and it would take several albums for them to get their footing. This album has long been a favorite of David and Chris so much so that Chris agreed to review it. This one was very special for both of us.

We are back with our favorite podcast tradition. 2021 was a strange year for music despite ample recording time during the pandemic. We thought there would be more music but for some reason there wasn't. With that said there was quality music hitting the shelves.

We agreed on three albums which is for sure a first for us. Listen to hear why our Number One album will be a favorite for years to come.

Dave Hause joins us this week to discuss his excellent new album Blood Harmony, the Revival tour, recording with a member of the E Street Band, and much more. We hope you enjoy this special episode.

R.E.M. are one of the all time great American rock bands with a very extensive catalogue. That is why this was the hardest list for us to edit down yet as you will hear. We hope you enjoy our stroll though their songbook.

Pearl Jam are one of the most beloved American bands of all time. Their catalogue is full of great songs and great albums. It is very had to narrow down ten songs from their career but Ian Rice joins David today to do just that. Let us know what we got right and what we got wrong. Enjoy!

This week we spend a lot of time talking about the new Killers album Pressure Machines. This album has grabbed both of us instantly.

David and Chris continue their "critique" of bad music. These week they set their sites on the worst power ballads. Which Trixter song made the list? Does Chris really like Bad English?

Well this is for sure our funniest episode yet. This month we will give you our take on the really bad music and hair....lol.

In part one we will breakdown albums from H.E.A.T., Florida Georgia LINE, LUKE BRYAN, SEETHER, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH AND KROKUS. This is all in good fun and you shouldn't take us too seriously.

We are FINALLY back with another new episode for everyone. On this new episode we discuss who are our top ten artists of all time. This a very eclectic list and both of us surprised each other with our picks.

Also, we have a little expense at bands that aren't in our top ten artists.

Sorry H.E.A.T. fans it is all in good fun.
