Exploring AI and Emotional Intelligence: My Digital Rapport Podcast Episode
In this episode of the Digital Rapport® podcast, I share my experience of interviewing a bot and compare that early experiment to what’s now possible with Digital Rapport® AI. My journey highlights just how far AI has evolved and why emotional intelligence remains distinctly human.
I explore EQ as a uniquely human trait that AI cannot fully replicate. While AI continues to advance in speed, data analysis, and content generation, it still operates within patterns and programmed frameworks. It does not truly feel, understand context the way humans do, or exercise moral judgment grounded in lived experience.
Throughout the episode, I discuss the limitations of AI and the ethical dimensions surrounding its development. In leadership and professional environments especially, intuition and empathy are not optional skills — they are essential. These are qualities that shape trust, influence culture, and guide responsible decision-making.
The episode culminates in a live demonstration: I allow the AI to interview me and generate an article based on my insights. Watching it co-create content in real time reinforces my belief that the most powerful future is one of collaboration. AI enhances efficiency, but human connection preserves meaning.
Ultimately, I see AI not as a replacement for emotional intelligence, but as a tool that can elevate it — when guided by conscious, emotionally intelligent leadership.
