In 1883, Barney Kroger invested his life savings to open a grocery store in Cincinnati, Ohio. Today, Kroger Co. is known as one of the largest retailers in the world. Last year, the company pioneered digital shelf technology and won an APEX Award with EDGE (Enhanced Display for Grocery Environment) to enhance customers’ in-store shopping experience. This year, the Kroger team is back with an update to the project and is nominated for another APEX Award.

The 2016 World Series win for the Chicago Cubs was an epic moment for the entire city of Chicago. With the whole city on fire with excitement, the Cubs chose to open a retail store for all their fans, and it was outfitted with augmented reality, a video wall and more to enhance the experience for each guest. The Wynn Resort and Casino Sportsbook recently renovated their space and fitted the interior with digital signage. RP Visual Solutions was a chosen partner to engineer and design the mounting solutions for the 1,500 sqft curved video wall. With the new additions the Wynn has earned the title of the one of the most upscale places in Vegas to watch your favorite sports games.

Using Christie Digital Boxer projectors, Obscura Digital worked with Vornado Realty Trust to project over one million lumens across the Chicago River and onto the façade of the famous Merchandise Mart building for a collaborative art piece. Dubbed “Art on theMART,” this collaboration is now the largest permanent projection mapping installation in the world.

Rooted in Greatness is the new outdoor projection mapping installation near McCormick Place on Cermak Road in Chicago, and it was created to celebrate the 200th birthday of the state of Illinois. Using NEC 4K projectors and a total of 30,000 lumens to project the faces of 50 influential people from the state onto three unique trees, this immersive outdoor art installation reminds all passersby of what greatness truly is.

C&G Partners worked closely with the Leo Baeck Institute on this project and chose BrightSign 4K media players to bring the history into a clear perspective for each visitor. The Tiger Nightclub in Phuket, Thailand is the largest destination hangout in the city and attracts tourists from all over the world. Thanks to help from Userful Corporation, the three-story party venue now takes atmosphere to another level with stunning displays playing stylized 4K content throughout the entire 20,000-square-foot facility, not to mention the 13-foot Tiger statue overlooking the dance floor.
