Mid way through the pandemic there seemed to be an awakening that the current situation was going to be with us for the foreseeable future, and we are going to have to learn to live with it in both our personal and business lives. In the world of business, employees started to look for alternative employment either into new markets, new organisations or new learnings based upon things that excited them in lockdown situations. You don’t have look too far on the internet to see headlines that 1 in 4 employees are looking for a career change and that’s not just millennials, which lets face it always get the rough ride.
In this episode, Meghan, Chris, Steve and I will be discussing the current situation, how vmware are responding to that and how our customers can look to certain aspects of technology to improve their daily lives.
In this episode I am pleased to say I am joined by Bob Smart from Orange Business Services and Steve McGovern from VMware.
Partnering is a hugely effective way to make sure that solutions deliver on the needs of customers and deliver the benefits that your company need to make long term strategic investments. In a complicated world where there are many ways to solve employee challenges it is important to know that partnerships exist that integrate solutions together to drive a positive outcome.
In this episode Bob, Steve and I will be discussing the focus of Orange Business Services around the delivery of modern work environments, how technology can have a positive impact on staff retention and how organisations should stop starting with technology and solve employee challenges.
So, without further ado let's get this started. Bob why don’t you tell the listeners a little more about yourself, just not too much as we will leave that surprise for the end!
In this episode we have a disucssion on the technology impact in the retail sector, how technology can lend a hand in revenue generation but also realising that technology isn’t the saviour to all our retail woes, there has to be a change in mindset, culture and a drive to hire and retain the best talent. We discussed some of the technology trends and also some of the macro challenges facing the sector such as lower footfall in shops and the impact of a pandemic.
In this session we cover the value to organisations through strong partnerships. You ‘ll hear from CDW Workspace Practice Lead Matt Roberts on the challenges and opportunities that the pandemic brought in terms of mindset, organisational change and the impact that Digital Security had on enabling that change along with the changes that now need to be addressed to make this long term sustainable. You’ll also get to understand a little more about Matt in our Fast Fun Fact section and his love of Duplo.
This time Charles Barratt and Steve McGovern will host the session where we will discuss if employees working from home decrease the corporate carbon footprint, with our guests Shalini Singh (Sustainability Head, India, APAC and EMEA VMware) and Anjana Shanmugavel (Business Analyst Coorperate Sustainability).
We think the most of us will understand how a Zero Trust approach will support the cybersecurity benefits but how can you explain the business benefits and value for your organisation?
