Dr. Mary Coupland has found mathematics to be an easy subject from a very young age. She has been fascinated by the way it has been applied in various areas. This made her gravitate toward applied mathematics. She also enjoys teaching this subject and using its applications for motivating and engaging her students. During her talk, she provided useful hints for parents and teachers to help them learn maths and enjoy it.

Dr. Usha Sridhar is a Sripathi Gold medalist from Andhra University (topped in all Science departments' results and achieved University First). She complete two Ph.D in mathematics (yes 2 Ph.D) in the area of Analysis, Complex Variables and Proof Theory and Artificial Neural Networks. Apart from her great academic achievements, she has also worked in finance field for 8 years.
Usha's passion about teaching, is nurtured by her parents. She has been teaching Mathematics, Numerical Techniques, Business, Statistics, Quantitative Methods and related subjects at various universities for more than three decades. Usha is part of the Teaching team won the prestigious UTS (University of Technology Sydney) Teaching citation award in 2011, 2018 and 2020.
