The DimWits take on the question of the conspiratorial view of history. Is there a secret cabal running the world? Who are they? What is their agenda? What if it is all just randomness? And what exactly is important for us to know about history as it pertains to our future? 

Years ago M Scott Peck wrote a fascinating book about building community called, "A Different Drum." In the book, he describes 4 stages of community which will discuss in detail.  According to Peck, true community emerges as the group chooses to embrace not only the light, but also the darkness and brokenness in each other's lives. Only then are we accepted for who we truly are - not who we pretend to be. It is at this point of radical acceptance and genuine love that extraordinary healing begins to occur.  The question is this: what stands in the way of this community and are we willing to let go of it?

Don't allow modern technology to warp your empathy or steal your creativity away with needless and constant distractions. Reclaim your solitude and reclaim your conversation skills.  We end the podcast with a true legend of Reggae music,  Slim Smith, as he sings "My Conversation" (The Uniques - 1973).

Are we living in a hologram? Before we get to that the DimWits discuss politics. Dwight defends communism saying any totalitarian one-party state is fascism not socialism.  Call it what you will the aim is to prepare the nation for armed conflict, and to respond to economic difficulties. We agree any top-down centralized government is bad and leads to dictatorship, then we go off the rails and talk about the simulated universe. Are living in a video game? And in this game what is the false authority? What are we here to learn? 

Intelligence is more than just IQ! Society has defined Intelligence as general cognitive problem-solving skills. However, emotional intelligence is the ability to understand and interact effectively with others. Metaphoric Intelligence is the ability to entertain multiple perspectives and decode myths. Some people might be "smart" in one and dumb or dull (obtuse) in the other.

Teen age rebellion, love making vs match making, the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator, the role of government, Edward Snowden, the electoral college, the forgotten third party, guns germs and steel, colonization of Africa, how the British ran a world empire, perfecting torture and living in denial of evil, the duty of being human. 

Are we living in a simulated universe? Dwight and Marek hook-up for coffee and that subject comes up during their "pre-game" banter. Just shooting the breeze and thinking about future topics we want to discuss. 

The human being is a story teller. That is what got us to were we are today, but where do we go from here?
