Couch has an impressive record of 37-20, with two MIAA championships and two NCAA tournament appearances. Under his leadership, Alma has seen 40 All-MIAA honorees, 17 All-Region selections, and 4 All-Americans. Couch himself has earned numerous accolades, including being named AFCA Regional Coach of the Year twice.
A 1997 graduate of Alma College, Couch played as the starting center for three seasons and received several honors, including an All-American honorable mention. His coaching journey began as co-head coach at Romeo High School, where he led the team to a state championship and multiple playoff appearances.
