    Ian Calvert Biography

    UK born Ian Calvert is an analyst, futurist and influencer working with SMEs and businesses to cope with Digital Transformation.

    Starting off in 1988, Ian’s professional career has always involved working with SMEs and big corporations, as a project manager and executive, managing corporation’s struggles to adopt best practices and technology advancements. For example, Ian became in 2011 Board Member of Banbury & District Chamber of Commerce where he took various roles to promote services to local businesses as well as helping promote local businesses.

    A milestone in his career came in 2012, when he joined Hootsuite Media Inc. as a Partner and Ambassador. Among his responsibilities were helping individuals and companies to take their Social and Digital to next level by being able to implement all the features and facilities that Hootsuite can offer to help manage a successful Social Business programme.

    After that Ian Calvert specialized as a futurist and researcher, collaborating with major multinational companies. As such, Ian has developed over a number of years working collaborations with the likes of Barclaycard, Huawei, IBM, and Microsoft amongst many other established Technology Companies as well as Start-Up' too.

    Bobby Lee is an author, entrepreneur, and bitcoin proponent. Bobby Lee is the founder of BTCC, China's first and longest-running cryptocurrency exchange. A pioneer in crypto and bitcoin, and after selling BTCC in 2018, Bobby Lee went on to found Ballet, a company that makes easy-to-use physical cryptocurrency wallets headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

    Bobby Lee Biography

    Bobby Lee was born in the Ivory Coast, Africa, and received his bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from Stanford University in 1998. During that time, we became a member of the Mayfield Fellows Program and earned an EMBA degree from CEIBS in China.

    Mr. Lee started his career in Silicon Valley as a software engineer at Yahoo!, and led the development of the earliest online communities. After the Yahoo! Experience, Mr. Lee moved to China where he performed different roles in executive positions. For example, he was the CTO of SMG BesTV New Media, the largest IPTV operator in China with the most subscribers globally. He moved to Shanghai in 2007 and started off at EMC’s China Center of Excellence, as Director of Software Engineering, with responsibilities for Cloud Computing and Cloud Storage. He then went on to become the Vice President of Technology for Walmart's e-commerce business in China.

    Lee became interested in bitcoin through his brother Charlie Lee, the creator of litecoin. In June 2011 Bobby Lee founded China’s very first crypto exchange, BTCC. Two years later, in November 2013, BTCC became the largest bitcoin exchange in the world, with a market share of about 31.7 percent, surpassing Tokyo-based Mt. Gox. The company was subsequently acquired in early 2018 by an investment firm in Hong Kong.

    A year later, in 2019, Bobby Lee founded his second startup Ballet, along with other industry veterans. Ballet is a crypto company that aims to drive global adoption of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Ballet provides simple and secure cryptocurrency storage solutions for the global mainstream market.

    Bobby Lee is also the author of The Promise of Bitcoin: The Future of Money and How It Can Work for You (McGraw-Hill, May 18, 2021). In the book, he makes a compelling argument for how Bitcoin will transform the global economy, as well as debunks common myths and dispels fears that surround Bitcoin -- arguing that this system is superior to traditional monetary systems.

    David Hanson Biography

    Hanson worked as a Walt Disney Imagineer, both a sculptor and a technical consultant in robotics, and later founded Hanson Robotics. As a researcher, Hanson published dozens of papers in materials science, artificial intelligence, cognitive science, and robotics journals — including SPIE, IEEE, the International Journal of Cognitive Science, IROS, AAAI, AI magazine and more. He wrote two books including “Humanizing Robots” and received several patents. Hanson was featured in the New York Times, Popular Science, Scientific American, WIRED, BBC and CNN.     Vernon Sankey Biography

    British born, Vernon Sankey graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University and received his Masters of Arts from the University of Oxford in 1971. He started his professional career in  Reckitt and Colman plc in 1971, and became Chief Executive Officer in Denmark, France, the USA and in Great Britain in 1992. A role he performed until 1999.

    After his experience at Reckitt and Colman plc, he has also held several non-executive positions as Chairman or Board member. He held positions as Chairman of Thomson Travel Group plc in 2000, Gala Group plc (2000 - 2003), deputy Chairman of Beltpacker plc (2000 - 2005), Non-Executive Director of Pearson plc (1993 - 2006), Chairman of Photo-Me International plc (2000 - 2007) , non-executive Director of Zurich Insurance AG (1998 - 2012) and Chairman of its Remuneration Committee) He was a founder board member of the UK's Food Standards Agency (2000 - 2005) and a Non- Executive Director of Cofra Holding AG (2001 - 2007)

    In 2000 Sankey set up an executive coaching company called REDCO Ltd of which he was Chairman. He has extensive experience in advising and coaching companies and executives on personal and corporate change and lectures on Leadership and Transformation Management.

    In 2001, Sankey became the Governor of Harrow School and a Trustee (Royal Charter) of the John Lyon Charity, a role he performed until 2016.

    Vernon Sankey is currently the Chairman of the Audit Committee, Atos SE, a role he has performed since 2005 and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

    Besides his role as business executive, Vernon has lectured extensively on leadership, personal change and development and corporate and individual transformation in the UK and the US, at international conferences around the world and in schools and universities.
