A new Dinner for Fiends, and it hasn’t even been six months? How did that happen? Well, it did. And after last episode’s scream-a-palooza, you’ll find this installment either refreshingly mellow or disappointingly not a seething cauldron of nerd rage. Give it a listen if you can pry yourself away from Grand Theft Auto V long enough to do so.
A thoughtful 30-minute discussion debating the pros and (mostly) cons of the series finale of “Dexter” starts off the show. From there Andrew, Fini, Buz, Foy, and Uncle Creepy engage in less thoughtful discussions of The World’s End, Maniac, Insidious Chapter 2, Prisoners, Lesson of the Evil, and Riddick, during which I definitively solve the mystery of Riddick’s sexual proclivities.
We’ll also each offer up a few horror movies we think Hollywood should remake. I tell an abbreviated version of the long story as to how I ended up getting a story credit on the Syfy original movie Ghost Shark and what my original version would have been like. Fini reveals his irrational hatred for Charlie Hunnam. And Buz – Buz is all about winning.
As has been the case of late, this Dinner for Fiends is another marathon session that will probably take you three months to listen to - just in time for when we should be recording the next show. See how it all works out? Winning!
