Another installment of Dinner for Fiends so soon? But how can this be? It hasn’t been 6 months to 2 years yet! This isn’t right at all.

The gang’s back together so soon for another spirited episode of mindless internet horror-themed gobbledygook. Minus Buz, that is. He was off being Mr. Hollywood or something that day, so expect 90% less “Supernatural” discussion this episode.

Uncle Creepy, myself, Andrew Kasch, and Matt Serafini were freestyling this one, babbling aimlessly about whatever topic any of us wanted to bring up.

Matt Serafini was feeling especially grouchy this edition so you’ll hear quite a bit about how he felt The Conjuring 2 was repetitive and boring, The Boy outright sucks, and 10 Cloverfield Lane was ruined by its ending. On the positive side, he really liked Lifetime’s lesbian vampire flick Mother, May I Sleep with Danger?

Other random topics include just what in the bloody hell is going on with the new Friday the 13th movie, AMC’s “Preacher,” Creepy’s love for CBS’s “Braindead” (which may already be cancelled by the time you read this), Andrew’s latest escapades with a certain Halloween cult that will ultimately lead to his and Buz’s mutual destruction, and my reading of a list of the best/worst dog movie pitches of all time.

It’s all about Woofies, folks.

There has been an awakening. The fiends have awakened. Creepy, Fini, Andrew, Foy, and (eventually) Buz have risen from the grave for the long overdue return of Dinner for Fiends.

It's been so long since the last DFF we didn't even bother trying to recap all the movies we've missed out on. You realize how many that would be? This show would be 12 hours long. That might make some of our listeners happy. Us, not so much.

What do we discuss? A little bit of everything and a whole lot of nothing. In other words, your typical DFF.

For the rest of you, you might be asking yourself, “Dinner for Fiends? What’s that?” You’ve probably forgotten because it has been so long. It’s this mindless podcast where Creepy and Foy yell at one another while Matt Fini calmly proclaims his love for some obscure arthouse horror movie you’d never sit through. Alas, we have had to recast a few roles. The role of Buz is now played by Jinx, and the role of Andrew Kasch’s call-dropping iPhone is also now played by Jinx.

It’s been so long since the last Dinner for Fiends I don’t even remember when it was. On the plus side, we really haven’t missed that much. On the negative side, that we haven’t missed much speaks volumes about the current state of horror.

So what do we have to catch up on?

Unfortunately, we recorded this show right before the release of Mad Max: Fury Road so you don’t get to hear the one movie we would all be in unanimous agreement over. However, I have determined what our names would be in the wasteland world of George Miller’s masterwork:

Jinx’s Mad Max name would be Ritor Blockus.

Matt would become Cannon the Go-Go Boy.

Oddly enough, Uncle Creepy would still be Uncle Creepy.

And yours truly, Foywonder, would for some reason be known by the moniker Moist the Soothing.

The final Dinner for Fiends of 2014 is itself a Christmas miracle in that it is probably the least Uncle Creepy and I have butted heads during a podcast. It was almost disturbing how often we agreed for once.

Back so soon? How did that happen? Over half a year between Dinner for Fiends, and now here we are back in less than a month? Don't get used to it.

This Dinner for Fiends initially started out as a Foycast. Fini and I were ready to go when I saw Jinx on Twitter responding to someone's request for more DFF's stating he couldn't wait to do it again. So we messaged him, and it turned out he really was ready to go. Then we figured if we don't at least ask Uncle Creepy if he can do it, we'll never hear the end of it from him. With that, plans to do a one-hour Foycast ballooned into another near two-hour DFF. My apologies to those of you who would have preferred a Foycast; you’ll just have to wait a little longer.

This will also go down as the Dinner for Fiends where Jinx officially picked up the mantle left behind by Andrew Kasch. By that I mean his phone kept dropping out, forcing the show to a screeching halt. Most of that fun was edited out, but between that and the abrupt ending to the recording, I have no problem proclaiming this episode to be in some way, shape, or form… JINXED!

Myself, Jinx, Fini, and Creepy pretty much pick up where we left off last time, discussing the remainder of the 2014 Halloween offerings and whatever else sprang to mind: Ouija, Annabelle, The Town that Dreaded Sundown, Exists, The Houses that October Built, "The Walking Dead", "American Horror Story: Freak Show", Alien: Isolation, See No Evil 2, The Identical(?!?!), Scream Factory's 2015 slate of horror films, and why Halloween is such an evil, horrible, unholy holiday.

Along the way you can expect the usual assortment of technical difficulties, ball-busting, and the clicking of my mouse that apparently has become Matt Fini's very own personal "Tell-Tale Heart."

Could it be? Might it be? At long last! Yes! Yes! Yes! A new Dinner for Fiends! It’s only been – what? Seven years? Seven months? I’ve lost track. All that matters is we’re back, baby!

Dinner for Fiends has finally returned, but not all the original fiends could make it. Andrew and Buz aren’t back for this episode due to either work commitments or perhaps they’re still on their honeymoon or Buz might be in jail after he crashed the set of “The Walking Dead” naked with a samurai sword screaming about the hero’s journey until cops tasered him.

In lieu of the dynamic duo, making his DFF debut is the only and only Jinx (real name withheld for tax purposes). He joins the always high-strung Uncle Creepy, the always mellow Matt Fini, and the face that launched a thousand ships, the Foywonder.

There have been a ton of movies released since the last time we did a show, and only Uncle Creepy saw most of them. Fortunately, we also discuss stuff the rest of us have seen, such as “American Horror Story,” “Z Nation,” a bunch of VOD movies that are much better than their big screen counterparts, and so on. So many topics it’s stunning how we crammed them all into just two hours.

You can now finally stop asking, stop complaining, stop demanding a new Dinner for Fiends. It has arrived just in time to give you something to listen to as we’re all confined to our homes due to Ebolageddon 2014.

Uncle Creepy was buried under an avalanche of work so it was up to Matt, Buz, Andrew, and yours truly (I’m back!) to disseminate the climax of “True Detective,” the static state of “The Walking Dead,” and the first two episodes of the second season of the best show on television you’re not watching, AKA “Hannibal.”

Before venturing deep into Carcosa, we talk Godzilla, old and new, as well as taking a few moments for the Oldboy remake, the new RoboCop, Pompeii, Stalingrad, and much more.

And somehow, some way, once again Yellowbrickroad factors into the discussion. That film truly is our Carcosa.
