The first Dinner for Fiends of 2012 is here, and what a way to begin the new year! A defiant Uncle Creepy braces himself before a firing squad of his peers as he stands alone in his defense of the universally reviled The Devil Inside. It’s just like 12 Angry Men except with five people on a podcast arguing about a found footage flick and nobody’s mind gets changed in the end.

After Creepy survives his trial by fire, without warning, Matt Fini, Buz, and Andrew Kasch turn into quivering, squealing schoolgirls at a Justin Bieber movie discussing their volcanic love for David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

From there yours truly, The Foywonder, teams with Uncle Creepy to discuss the utterly asinine 3D invisible alien flick The Darkest Hour.

We’ll also tell you about some of the Christmas gifts we got each other before finishing off the show with a slew of reader mail, some of which actually manages to be coherent.

Dinner for Fiends is back for what may be its final installment of the year. There’s not a whole lot of horror going on at the movies of late – unless you count how much money the latest Twilight sequel has made – so in addition to Breaking Dawn we’re mostly talking quality horror on TV today.

If you’re amongst the listeners who experience spastic rage every single time the topic of Twilight is discussed, you might as well fast forward past the first 15-20 minutes of this show because busting Breaking Dawn’s balls is all we do during that time. But if you want to hear about Brazilian vampire honeymoon island love nests, Bella’s love of rough sex, werewolves falling in love with babies, and vampire fang c-sections, then the opening portion of this program is for you.

From there we segue into televised horror. You’ll hear much man love for “Supernatural”, Buz’s disdain for the characters on “The Walking Dead”, and then mixed reactions regarding the current seasons of “Dexter” and “American Horror Story”.

If that’s not enough for you, you’ll also hear viewer mail, possibly hear Uncle Creepy peeing, and experience Buz’s raw naked terror at the mysterious sound of something that may or may not have been a vacuum cleaner.

The usual suspects (Creepy, Buz, Foy, Fini, Kasch) have finally all assembled for a new episode. You would think with only two new wide release horror movies this past month, there wouldn’t be that much to talk about; yet, somehow we jam packed it to feature length.

We covered so many random topics amid the usual October movie offerings that much of this show has become a blur. What has not become a blur is the hilariously insane turn the first hour of this 90-minute edition took.

Where to even begin with how to describe this episode? Who would have ever thought that Creepy opening up the show asking if any of us have seen The Human Centipede 2 would spiral into a raucous half-hour debate over… You know what; just listen for yourself. It could be the most offensive 30 minutes in DFF history. It most certainly ranks amongst the most unlikely conversations in podcast history.

You’ll also hear our disappointed take on the prequel/remake/premake/requel of The Thing followed by a very spirited debate over Paranormal Activity 3. Beware of spoilers. Beware of tongue lashings.

This not “Dinner for Fiends”, not “Foycast”, not “Same Shit, Different Show”, is not for the faint of heart. What was supposed to be a mini-DFF sans a snowed-in Matt Fini quickly turns into an impromptu Foycast when Uncle Creepy no-shows due to miscommunication. Then, after a few short minutes of Batman: Arkham City discussion, Andrew Kasch gets swallowed up in the abyss, and our esteemed editor makes his presence known from his own Halloween black hole filled with piss and vinegar.

Then ... the bird arrives, Creepy forgets we’re even still recording, and it all turns into a weirdly R-rated retelling of Edgar Allan Poe’s classic short story.

Open up wide and prepare to choke on a great big serving of Dinner for Fiends. The past few weeks haven’t been very kind to the horror releases at the multiplex, and we’re not much kinder to them either. You’d be an idiot to miss out on this smorgasbord of a show.

Uncle Creepy, Buz, Matt Fini, and yours truly spend a considerable amount of time debating the merits of the Fright Night remake, featuring the horrifying truth about Creepy’s cinematic hair fetish and how it affects his reaction to the movies he watches, interrupted briefly by a deranged screaming tirade regarding the Conan the Barbarian remake.

Plus all the sidetracking zany discussions you’ve come to expect when we start rambling inanely.

As always, beware of major spoilers when discussing all of these offerings, even more so than usual since judging by the box office profits of these films, none of you saw any of them.

After too long of a hiatus Dinner for Fiends is back and better than ever. At least we hope so. You see, part of the reason for the long delay was trying to work out the logistics of how to make the actual show itself sound better. Well, thanks to a myriad of well placed phone calls, swiping credit cards, and of course SCIENCE, we've done just that!

Also, now that we have the infrastructure that we needed in place, we plan on doing the show a lot more often so yeah, no more seven-month waits for you to get your horror fix!

That being said, get ready to join myself, Matt, Andrew, Buz, and Foy as we discuss everything from Super 8 to Final Destination 5 in an hour and a half of sheer madness, lost control, and dealing with Foy living in his shack.

The Rapture didn’t happen, but we did finally record a new Dinner for Fiends. An uproarious, epic-sized edition that Uncle Creepy feels may be one of the best ever. We’ll let you decide on that.

This edition opens with me ranting about Dylan Dog: Dead of Night and BloodRayne: The Third Reich and ends with me rewriting Dr. Seuss, so that alone should tell you some of what to expect. From there we’ll voice differing opinions on the merits of Scream 4 and Insidious. Somewhere in there we acknowledge the existence of Priest. You’ll hear the sad tale of the agony experienced watching the new Hellraiser sequel and how the latest Children of the Corn sequel isn’t that bad, possibly because it has next to nothing to do with children or corn. Plus there's talk of Troll Hunter, Stake Land, The Skin I Live In, “Dexter”, the season finale of “Supernatural”, and some LA Noire love along with the return of viewer mail – deeply confusing viewer mail.

This is all in addition to the usual ball-busting we give each other. Matt Fini accepts ribbing for his Halloween: Curse of Michael Myers review but makes no apologies for his love of the Howling sequels. I struggle to keep my Dracula “thousands” straight, and Buz potentially gets murdered by angry Mexicans. And who doesn’t want to hear tales of Uncle Creepy and Doug Bradley drunkenly exchanging gay sex Hellraiser jokes?
