In this second episode of the series, we explore NetSurf, an amazing browser that's relatively unknown even around the FOSS community.
NetSurf is not as light as the previously showcased Dillo, but it makes up in a lot more capability for rendering things correctly, and it still is orders of magnitude lighter than other the mainstream browsers out there. Many times, when surfing with it, you won't even realize you're on it instead of, say, Firefox. And what's more: NetSurf also supports GIF animated content and even has some rudimentary support for Javascript! All of that in a browser that won't pass the 400MB RAM mark.
If you want to use the latest version in Debian, though, you need to get the .deb files directly from the project, or use flatpak. Their CI publishes the latest built ones here:
