As discussed a few weeks back (during a parody movie, no less), Max & Host Spencer are back to discuss the "Weird Al" Yankovic bio-pic starring Daniel Radcliffe. With them both being such huge fans of Weird Al's work, this movie had to be covered on the pod, and it is one of the zaniest and most ridiculous bio-pics we have ever seen, while also being the perfect parody of all the ones we have seen prior! Based on the Funny or Die sketch from 10 years ago, it expands on the concepts shown in the bio-pic spoof sketch, and adds depth, laughs, and fun performances by Daniel, Rainn Wilson, Evan Rachel Wood, and the rest of the star ridden cast. They discuss the 1988 cult classic about an acidic monster from space that sucks you up, dissolves you, and moves on to the next victim. With some amazing visual effects and gore, alongside some cheesy (albeit classic) 80's dialogue, this is a definite recommend watch, and is a great addition to the Spooky Season catalogue.

It's got tons of cool trinkets, so make sure you try them all out. Definitely check out that conch shell, it's a personal favorite! In all Spooky Seriousness, this week David is back on the pod to cover a modern day meta horror movie: The Cabin in the Woods! Along with host Spencer, they discuss how this movie could explain EVERY slasher you've ever seen, as well as diving into all the fantastic references of horror classics splattered throughout.
