We wanted this for Opening Day, but we are juuuuuuust a bit outside of it. Everyone's favorite baseball underdogs are finally here, as we discuss the 1989 Sports Comedy classic Major Leauge! Host Spencer makes a call to the bullpen to get Mike back on the pod to discuss Wild Thing Vaughn, Cerrano, Willie Mays Hays, Jake Taylor, and the rest of this thrown together Cleveland Indians squad. Do we take a little too much time discussing actual baseball and doing below average Lou Brown quotes? Yeah. But, that's what you get when you bring baseball to the pod. 

In the past, we have ranked some of the biggest film franchises of all time: James Bond, Friday the 13th, Star Wars, etc. But it was all leading to this. The single biggest film franchise to ever grace the non- silver screen (since it went direct to TV), the Sharknado franchise! This 6 film mega series has some of the greatest performances and CGI the SyFy channel has ever seen, and host Spencer is going to walk you through these all time classics from worst to best based on their average review score. The film series so big that some of them aren't on Metacritic so he had to rank them with less. This is totally a real, thought out episode and not an April Fool's Day joke where Spencer rambles about the franchise for less that 25 minutes.

With 3 films starring Tobey Maguire, 2 with Andrew Garfield, one animated classic in 2018, and the Tom Holland led MCU films, this 9 film collection needed to have an episode dedicated to discussing it's over 20 year span of dominance in the box office where it has grossed over 6 BILLION dollars! We entered the Direct to Audio multi-verse to grab 2 of the biggest and best the pod has seen to join host Spencer on this adventure: Max and Liz. They discuss the effect the Rami trilogy had on their childhoods, how Max and Spencer maybe bring up Batman a little too much, and they try to fix the 2 black sheep of the Spiderman movies (y'all know which ones they are). If this doesn't get your Spidey Sense tingling, then I don't know what to tell ya.

When this podcast hits peoples feeds, it's not just a signal, it's a warning... that you better be prepared for a great discussion! Max is back on the pod, and since we are both big fans of the Batman Character we couldn't pass up an opportunity to review the newest addition to the Batman franchise: The Batman! Starring Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader in his early days of wearing the cowl, this murder mystery film noir take on the character is truly unlike anything we have seen from the previous Batman movies. Written and directed by Matt Reeves, and alongside a spectacular all star ensemble cast (Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell, John Turturro, Jeffrey Wright, etc), this film needed an episode dedicated to discussing it fully. We do a 20 minute spoiler free portion in the beginning, and then talk for the next hour about all the spoiler filled goodness. Deep dives into the characters, creating of the film, and breaking down some iconic scenes (Car chases, interrogations, and detective work, oh my!), this episode will do it all for y'all... similar to a masked vigilante in a certain desolate city we all know.

Andy comes back on the pod, and we take to the seas to discuss the 5 films in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and rank them worst to best based on their average review score. From the epic beginning with The Curse of the Black Pearl to the most recent outing from a few years back in Dead Men Tell No Tales, this series has been to Davey Jones' Locker, to a beach with Mermaids, and to a beach where the rum is somehow gone. We walk you through them all, and talk about the best (Geoffrey Rush, the CGI, the Boat names, and of course Mr. Depp) to the worst (what are the last 2 even doing?). You may be thinking "This is the weirdest pod you've ever heard" and to that I say "But you have heard of it." 

We sadly have an unplanned episode to release, as one of the greatest minds in film history has passed away. Ivan Reitman, director and producer for over 50 years, passed away last week, and Spencer wanted to take an episode to discuss one of his favorite filmmakers, and someone who inspired movie making more than most people realize. Rest in Peace Ivan, you will be missed by all.
