I'm enjoying getting to know Dirk Sullivan. His tile installation company, Hawthorne Tile in Portland Oregon specializes in high end custom residential. Hawthorne Tile is a Five Star Contractor, Dirk says this gives him the advantage on numerous occasions when it comes to winning the high end work and standing out as the professional tile installer.  Dirk accepted two awards at Coverings this year for design and excellence in tile installation. 

We talked about growing pains he had and how he had to overcome his fear about bringing on team managers.
