In this episode James and Nick break down what the railroad is in PoncaCityopoly, what happens when all of I35 is shut down, what the younger generation wants from the Blue Collar world, and where to find the best gas station coffee.
We often hear things like "kids these days don't want to work", "we can't find anybody to hire", and "people will leave us for a dollar". We breakdown why these excuses are a reality and explain what the industry can do in order to prevent this from happening.
The goal of Dirty and Driven to attract hardworking individuals and cultivate an industry that is sustainable and enjoyable to work in. We talk about our goals of "Gain, Train, and Retain" hard working individuals.

Today James and Nick were joined by a guest host, Kevin Caughlin. These three stooges talked all about safety, the importance of it, and lots of stupid stories of them being unsafe.
Safety is important in todays world and we took this episode to talk about what not to do, how lucky we really were, and how we implement safety practices while working and in our lives today

In this episode we were pleased to host Tracy Porter. Tracy Porter was James' first employer whenever he was 15 years old. Tracy is an owner/operator landscape construction and light construction contractor.
We talked about prioritizing your health as a blue collar worker, lessons learned through the years of landscaping, and dug into what it can be like as a self employed small business owner.
The first 20 minutes were about what it looks like to take small steps to prioritize your health and after that was a random assortment of stories, wisdom, and shit talk.

In this episode we throw back to the first attempt that James and Nick took at podcasting. Nick dives a little bit into the story about himself and how he had to grow up quickly on the farm after his dad passed away at a young age. The guys get into to stories of grit, buckling down and getting the work done, and the issues that a lot of blue collar people face on a day to day basis.
This is from our first attempt at recording so we had some mic issues, but we are learning as we go how to mitigate that!

Welcome to our first guest interview! In this episode we are joined by our long time friend Korey Pruett. Korey has an amazing story going from a six figure job as a furniture salesman to a back hoe operator, to a dozer operator, getting a chronic back injury that forced him to leave the operating world, then coming out to be a building inspector!
Korey embodies the Dirty and Driven mentality because he never gave second thought to some of the decisions that set him back because he knew he would come out ahead and he did. When there was an easy path and a hard path he chose the hard path.
Tune in for stories of perserverence, grit, encounters with crack heads, pegasus sightings, heavy equipment, Jesus, and pizza pockets. We promise you'll love this one!
