If you are concerned about food shortages and supply chain issues, if you have an overabundant harvest in the garden, or if you just want to lock in your food costs at today's prices or take advantage of a great sale, you will want to take some steps toward preserving your bounty. You could can or freeze your surplus, but sometimes space is an issue, and freezing isn't the best option in the event of power outages resulting from rolling blackouts, hurricanes, or snow storms. Dehydration is an excellent alternative that preserves the harvest, saves space, and generally lasts longer than many of the other options. Sit down with us while we talk about preserving the harvest and other topics.

At the Dirty Hands Podcast, we are inspired by friends near and far that are getting their hands dirty trying new things and becoming more self-reliant every day. We want to help you take back your power and learn the skills that time forgot by interviewing those folks each week.
This week, we introduce your hosts, Tammy and Sarahrose, and chat with Sarahrose (who is more than likely wearing gloves and NOT getting her hands dirty) about making homemade food for our important household members, our pets and livestock.
We also want to hear from you about topics you are excited to learn about. You can connect with us and follow our adventures on:
